Default Help Contacting Glider Pilot in California

Hi,

I am hoping that the small and supportive soaring community will be able to
help me contact this person.

The person's name is David Sanders. The credit card is in the name "Erin
Sanders". He has made several purchases with me in the beginning of April,
2006. I was able to receive payment for 2 of the orders using the credit
card data he provided, but the 3rd order for $73.95 a few days later was
declined. For a few weeks I exchanged e-mails with him at
and he kept saying that he was working it out
with his bank and that I should try to charge the card again in a few days.
It kept getting declined. I kept sending friendly e-mails suggesting that I
must have a digit wrong or something, but it never did go through. After a
few weeks he stopped responding to my e-mails and phone calls
(818-951-3140).

Since then I've done some searching and found that the FAA airman database
does show a David Sanders at the address I have (8815 Yates St, Sunland, CA
91040, USA) that has a glider rating. The database does not list a phone
number or e-mail address.

Either he is having financial issues and is purposely not returning my
calls, or he has moved or changed phones and e-mail, or - who knows? I
want to believe that this is a misunderstanding, but I'm running out of
patience. I'm not getting rich supporting the soaring community so even
though it is not a huge amount of money - it still stings.

Previous posts to this group helped me find the phone number for a David
Sanders in the same city, but he is a skydiver at a different address - not
the same person.

I imagine that someone that reads this group must know this guy. If you do,
please let me know if any of the numbers above have changed. Also, please
ask him nicely to please contact me to arrange payment. I'm OK with several
payments over time.

I've been supporting the soaring community for several years now and
fortunately, this is the first time a customer has declined to pay me. It
is awesome that 99.9% of the soaring community is trustworthy. Please help
me restore my faith in it.

Thanks,

Paul Remde
