Default evac-u8 smoke hood

I recently purchased a couple of these smoke hoods from Aircraft Spruce.
Yesterday Spruce called and said not to use them and they should get back to
me in 30 days with more information. Anyone have any further info on this?

Sheesh, no information to offer, but I carry two with me in my aircraft.
Please post back if you find out the reason and no one else posts here.

That release was dated June 11, 2002, and the recall does not appear to be
related to aviation usage. My interpretation of the OPoster's experience
is that this is a new recall.

Ok, sorry. I didn't read it carefully. Can I blame this on my age? :-)
