The FAA has her listes as C-123K AF54-709, owned by All West Freight Inc. out of Delta Junction AK http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinqu...umbertxt=709RR Seems to be missing a few important bits; and I'm not sure about the steering wheel - looks like part of the fence in the foreground? She ~was~ the star of Con Air, doing all the flying scenes. http://www.oldwings.nl/content/con_air/con_air.htm Bob ^,,^ |

Dang - missed the last picture, so misunderstoof the steering wheel comment... Oh, hell - forget ~everything~ in the previous post... This aircraft is actually C-123K AF56-4361, and was the aircraft used for ground taxi scnenes in 'Con Air'. It had a diesel engine mounted in the nose and a bus transmission; hence the steering wheel. Hath Hollywood no shame? Much more at http://www.oldwings.nl/content/con_air/con_air.htm under "Stand-in #2" Bob ^,,^ |
