I thought I was aware of all the changes being made for 2013 but one slipped past me. I just realized that the rules now say that any logger that makes a Blue V on the OLC is acceptable for regional contest. Awesome!

Guess that means that XCSoar and all the other software loggers are acceptable now too, right?!

I'm not sure that "all" other software loggers is precisely correct. But I believe the list is pretty comprehensive. The list is available on the OLC site.

So everyone, come on out and fly some regional contests! Contests are IMHO hands down the best way to improve your cross country skills. You get the data of a whole group of pilots trying the same thing and comparing results and techniques. Not to mention the socializing.

I didn't see a contest listed for Region 8. Is there one?
