Default End Of An Era

Trader Jon's closes for good

The legendary Trader Jon's bar is celebrated its last Blue Angels
homecoming show Saturday night. The current owner, Matt Heckemeyer,
sold the bar and its memorabilia to un-named parties and will closed
the doors for good. On Saturday, the place was packed with people
saying goodbye one last time.

Heckemeyer says it will be tough to let it go. "Its not so much that
the bar has closed it's the end of an era. It's the end of a life
style that was once part of a great group of people that will be no
more. So all you'll have now are the memories of the way those people
led their lives", he said.

Heckemeyer says the more than 10,000 pieces of navy memorabilia was
acquired by a law firm, that chooses to remain anonymous, and will
soon be donated to the Naval Aviation Museum.
