Default Gliding on Discovery Channel

You can view the Discovery Channel's Daily Planet show about Freedom's Wings
Canada on a broadband connection. The show features the gliding simulator in
a starring role, and is rated 5 star on the web site. To find it go to:
www.discovery.ca
Then click on "Discovery Channel"
Then click on "Broadband" in the box at the top
A new page will open and load a player. When it is loaded, select "Daily
Planet" at the tabs on the top right, and choose the September 15th show.

You'll have to endure a short segment about the effects of Mintos in a
bottle of Diet Coke, but the big feature is on gliding. We have had a
fantastic response to this broadcast.

Can't view them in the US. We get things like American Chopper
Bloopers and Monster Garage Failures.

I checked with the producer, and he confirmed that the group has "goe
blocked" (or some term like that) to preserve the sales appeal for foreign
markets.

I've no idea how they know where your computer is, but I'll bet there is a
way to make your computer 'look' Canadian for a workaround. He seemed to
think it will be sold, so perhpas it is a matter of time until it is shown
in the other markets.

A shame; - it's really well done.

There is a Discovery Channel Broadband segment in the USA but it is not
the same one; it is only 1 minute long.

http://dsc.discovery.com/beyond/play...99-532-ah-0036

click the tab on the top right that says "Video Search" and search
for either "sailplane" or "soaring" and the segment loads after a
commercial.
