I think it's funny when these guys get caught but why do they never use the
defense that they new it was a 30 something year old man pretending to be a
15 year old girl and that it really turns him on?

I beats going to prison.

How many times did you beat the rap with that strategy?

Like when I was in vice and the girls somehow thought that if they asked
you 3 times if you were the police and you said no, it was entrapment!
HAHA!

Why didn't they just ask you to drop trou? I would assume a real cop
would keep hims paints on but a John would be happy to take them off.

Tragic.

Sorry if I cannot bring myself to laugh at this man's stupidity.

Pretty stubid, but how can you be convicted if there never was a 15 year
old.
I think they need to use a real 15 year old to make it legal.
The guys a schmuck neverless.

Cops can drop too, but I would be worried about AIDS if she
got too friendly too quickly.

As for the "looking for a guy pretending to be a teen girl
ploy, your computer had better be full of old men in drag
and no pictures of women and girls.

Hey there's an up side to this.

There will probably be a cheap Cessna on the market so the pervert can hire
a lawyer.

I think the news said it was borrowed from one of his students.

They can get him on conspiracy. He made a overt act or a substantail
step towards the commision of the crime with what he thought was with
a 15 year old. Him jumping into an airplane and flying however far he
flew would be enough.

Interesting POV. I suppose even if he gets away with it (beating the
case), he'd still be at a great loss, financially and rep. wise with
his friends and family. I think and hope that he'll learn his lesson.

Probably not because it's most likely a deeper psychological issue than
something that can be learned away. If he gets away with it and doesn't get
help there is a substantial possibility that he'll end up doing the same
thing again whether he tries to control it or not.
