First of all, Hello World.

Heh, I never said it was gonna be easy.

Emil Kraepelin (the pioneer of modern psychiatry) observed the

I'd have to know more about the test group.

Psychotrophic drugs only sedate and mask.
They are the proverbial smoke on the beehive. They don't even
begin to address what the cause is, which to this day is officially
designated as unknown, with some theoretical genetic mumbo
jumbo listed as a probablility, which by the way, is the official
answer for several other unexplained abnormalities.

Post traumatic shock coupled with a narcissistic
personality disorder will give you bipolar every time.

Borrelia Burgdorferi bacteria, which is transmitted thru
tick bites and is the cause of Lyme disease, which by

degeneration and personality shift which is textbook
bipolar.

There are MANY OTHERS. I GOT BACTERIAL BIPOLAR FROM THE *GODDAMNED*

Well sure, but isn't this just a logistical problem that
is mitigated by titration and proper weaning?

BTW, PTSD is not the same as Bi Polar or Narcisism, or Manic
Depression. Manic depression isn't the same as Bi Polarism or
Narcissism. Narcissism isn't even close to the other disorders just
listed, its more like psychopathy which is marked by a definative lack
of empathy and compassion - often due to not being held enough loved
enough or supported enough as a small child.

See http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_causes_narcissism for more info.

In short All these terms describe different and individual disorders
and diseases each with their own symptoms and causes and treatments.

LOL I think you meant anti psychotic drugs. Firstly PTSD patients
don't necessarily get anti psychotics, I for one got prescribed a very
low dose of anti anxieties which are totally different from anti
psychotics. They simply allowed me to stop shaking and crying
whenever I had to get out of bed or face a real live person. FYI Anti
psychotic drugs do not MASK anything they re-wire the brain to prevent
psychotic episodes and help the patient distinguish between reality
and hallucination or fantasy. Two different classes of drugs all
together prescribed for two different classes of disorders entirely.
Think of it this way PTSD is like an injury to the mind due to some
horrible infliction by an outside force person or persons on the
person who suffers from the PTSD. While BP is a disease of the actual
brain matter itself.

(timing
is everythin)

Exactly, you know its time to get off the anti anxieties when you are
no longer suffering from anxiety.
Your DR will tell you if you are okay by determining what side effects
you suffer from once your dose is reduced then removed. No side
effects? No need for the drugs any longer.

Its really less about how we got this way, and more about who we're
going to become. A spirochete. Rapidly spreading across the world,
causing people to act bipolar.

Fortunately I don't have to take prescription
meds. You know, clean livin', non smoker, non drinker.

response to your particular brand of ignorance?
Actually figuring out how we got this way is CRUCIAL to self
determination of who we WILL be. You cannot ignore the cause and wish
yourself all better. You have to find the cause, root it out and
replant a new beginning for yourself otherwise same crap different
day.

I've been reading through this thread and recognise your rage.
Sincerely you really should get some help for that.

They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but it can't
be good when the bots get so many of the details wrong.

Since there's no use in tilting at windmills, let's all just try to

What if the source of so-called "bipolar disorder" and "narcissism" is
not physical but is actually a misconception of the relative
importance of the patient's ego, as regards to its interactions with
the objective external world?

Siddhartha Gautama (Shakamuni Buddha) mystically revealed that "all
existence is suffering," and pointed towards a complicated eightfold
noble path that would lead to liberation from the misery of *thinking*
and trying to make the individual ego fit a resistant material
universe...

Sri Ramana Maharshi explained self-enquiry (Self Realization) in a
simpler manner, from the beginning.

Before embarking on a description of the technique itself it will be
necessary to explain Sri Ramana Maharshi’s views on the nature of the
mind since the aim of self-enquiry is to discover by direct
experience, that the mind is non-existent.

According to Sri Ramana Maharshi, every conscious activity of the mind
or body revolves around the tacit assumption that there is an ‘I’ who
is doing something.

The common factor in ‘I think’, ‘I remember’, ‘I am acting’, is the
‘I’ who assumes that it is responsible for all these activities.

Sri Ramana Maharshi called this common factor the ‘I’-thought (Aham-
Vritti).

Literally aham-vritti means ‘mental modification of ‘I’.

The Self or real ‘I’ never imagines that it is doing or thinking
anything; the ‘I’ that imagines all this is a mental fiction and so it
is called a mental modification of the Self.

Since this is a rather cumbersome translation of Aham-Vritti it is
usually translated as ‘I’-thought.

The first and foremost of all thoughts that arise in the mind is the
primal 'I'-thought.

It is only after the rise or origin of the 'I'-thought that
innumerable other thoughts arise.

In other words, only after the first personal pronoun, 'I', has
arisen, do the second and third personal pronouns ('you, he' etc.)
occur to the mind; and they cannot subsist without the former.

Since every other thought can occur only after the rise of the 'I'-
thought and since the mind is nothing but a bundle of thoughts, it is
only through the inquiry 'Who am I?' that the mind subsides.

Moreover, the integral 'I'-thought, implicit in such enquiry, having
destroyed all other thoughts, gets itself destroyed or consumed, just
as the stick used for stirring the burning funeral pyre gets
consumed....

Unlike Christians, Catholics, and Muslims, Hindus are not "damned" to
"hell" for all eternity.

All will be liberated eventually.

However, your problem which makes you suffer so much that you lash out
in anger at total strangers is your overweening ego.

You have no real understanding of who you are, so you suffer.

Your self-inflicted suffering will continue for what *seems like* an
eternity, but the universe will not care.

But, on the day that you find out who you are, you will be liberated
and you will laugh at yourself for taking so long to figure it out.
