Yes, but read the text, with permission and in communication with the control tower. Obviously a contract for a promotional video of the airport.

The Siskiyou County airport director banned RC modelers from the airport and in effect drones. She asked the FAA and the response was get rid of them. The airport is essentially abandoned, no FBO and few flights in and out except for gliders in the soaring months. The glider club to no avail was in favor of the RC modelers staying.

There are small country airports that do allow RC clubs to exist. There are procedures within the AMA for such operations.
One is that there is a safety spotter beside the RC pilot and that the RC model aircraft lands when there is a full scale aircraft in the traffic pattern.
A lot depends on the distance between RC operations and the full scale runway.

It sounds like the airport Managment did not want to even try to work out a CONOPS.

Bill,

All that was done years before the modelers were told to leave.

In addition they had be there over 20 years.

That is correct they did not even want to try.
