Default deHavilland Devon VP 979 Information needed

I've obtained a recently declassified MOD file, which contains a
reference to the use of a Devon aircraft, VP 979, in 'ahem'
meteorological research.

Does anyone have any information of the whereabouts of this aircraft,
post 1964?

There is a possibility that it was operated by RAE at some time. It is
known that it underwent minor conversion work at Boscombe Down during
1964.

Mike
