Default SSA Convention- Worth going?

I am considering getting a booth at the Memphis SSA convention, but am
not sure it is the right venue. Can someone that has attended in the
past tell me the type of exhibitors that typically go, and the kind of
folks that attend as well (experienced pilots, CFIGs, studens, all of
the above, etc.) Did you have a good time? Would you do it again?

Thanks for your inpt,

Hi Matt,

I have been to the past two, helping a Sailplane vendor. I found that
most folks are sailplane pilots ranging from students to the most
experienced CFI's and contest pilots, sharing the thing we all have in
common. It is a fun time!

You might do well there and would probably have a good time- some of
the seminars are great! Also, some soaring software vendors have
convention specials-which is nice.

Mike

Just to follow up, I went on there different occasions with my wife.
I never recovered my cost, once I broke nearly even. The convention
was a bit of a holiday,
good times, good food and making contact with old as well as new
customers.
In the early days, I think it was beneficial overall, now 10 years
ago.
