There is a major fire from Omak through Mansfield.

Smokey? That's not smokey (at least not as much as it was)! THIS is smokey! Click
on the Richland label...

http://www.mirage-eng.net/Cameras.aspx

It's up a hill, about 8 miles south of RLD, looking north, which is usually a
panoramic view.

Or look at the Prosser airport webcam:

https://www.wsdot.wa.gov/aviation/WebCam/Prosser.htm

A huge area of smoke engulfed us about 3 hours ago, all from the Omak area fires.
The wind has shifted from N to NE, so I think it will clear out soon.

ERIC, You did not see the webcam at about 10:00 am today. One could not see past the car in the office building, just barely could make out the fuel tank and looking north could not make anything out past the car in the office paking lot it was all brown on the picture. No trailers, not club house, no noththing. The winds have helped move some of it out.
Take care.

I looked at it just now, and it was horrible! I wonder if some/lot of that was
dirt, which was present in many places at different times, including he looked
like smoke, but no smell.

Tom, I saw what you saw on the webcams. It was astoundingly bad at EPH. That evening I watched the satellite loop and all that smoke moved SW, then west down the Gorge into the PDX area. Visibility in the evening at my home west of Portland was down to 1/2 mile. This morning it has mostly blown out of my area.

There's a spectacular set of satellite views he

https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/im...-smoky-inferno

These give a really good idea of the sheer extent of the smoke coverage.
