The click is most likely your transponder replying to an interrogation
and likely just coupling though the avionics power supplies, but it
might also be RF coupling.

So that has been your problem all along? You have not been wearing your tin
hat, BoB?

It certainly would explain why you are able to correct "certain other"
people's spelling mistakes and such. You have had your brain hooked into
the machine world, and in your case, it must be hooked into a word
processor. ;-))
