Private Pilot Certificate, or Lightsport Pilot
Either one, it's the exact same checkride.

Either one, it's the exact same checkride. Why would an examiner ask a sport pilot about night operations if the pilot hasn't been trained in them? How did you determine they were the same checkride? |

Even for those in Alaska, a private pilot certificate could be issued with a limitation that night flying is prohibited - and the person would be required to get night training within 12 months or the certificate would become invalid. The rationale appears to be that training during the summer at high latitudes yields insufficient night hours. |

Our Regs allowed us to go no more than 10 nm aay from the Airfield so although I did a few hours night circuits I wasn't interested... |

I've swapped posts with you on NUMEROUS occasions, and discussed MULTIPLE topics in which we've ALWAYS disagreed, and yet...funny thing...can you list even one point in which you were right and I wasn't? I've even offered to have an independent fiduciary party hold 10 thousand dollars from each of us, winner take all to the correct answer. You weren't able to pass muster. In the final analysis, you only trolled. --- Mark IV |
