Default Pre-launch Checklists.

In Canada we are taught C.I.S.T.R.S.C.O. during our training .

C Controls
I Instruments
S Seatbelts
T Trim
R Release
S Spoilers
C Clear above and behind and Canopy
O Options (emergency procedures)

We are also taught a landing checklist which is done well before
entering the circuit so that even a new pilot has lots of time to
complete the checks before his attentions are focused on the landing
procedure.
