After much searching I finally found a probably quite complete
dictionary.
It starts on page 11 I think. I needed it for my old, newly acquired
German glass ship with all its original logs, docs....
Hope its useful to some one else.

With a quick Google search I found this site:
http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/english-g...onautical.html

Tried a few technical words and it translated them well. No guarantees
about how extensive it may be, of course!

Or try http://www.standardcirrus.org/ and look at the top right of the
home page for
English German
Deutsch Englisch
translations

Its worked well for a Brit flying with a German club in East Belgium.

I have found that even up to date specialised dictionaries or glossaries
fall over as the Germans (and also the Flemish) tend to create much longer
convoluted words from shorter ones to explain ideas and concepts.

However most of the club members can speak 3 or 4 languages so if you are
stuck then feel free to e-mail me and I will ask for an accurate
translation.

This idiomatic use caught me out the other day: 'fette Bärte'
