BWAHAHAHAHA...

Brits teach the Chinese English via television.

(At 6.30pm entire villages would gather round their one and only black
and white television set. Together they would chorus useful phrases such
as "Would you like a gin and tonic?")

Sitting in first class just makes it easier for the hijackers. They'll
slaughter all the first class passengers first.

Wouldn't first class passengers object to being slaughtered?

You're forgetting the mindset of before 9/11. Without the knowledge
of the fate of the other hijacked planes, the 4 hijackers had total
control of that plane with box cutters. One hijacker said he had a
bomb strapped to himself. Does the SM take the chance and shoot? I
don't know.

The hijacker must be prevented from gaining control of the aircraft at all
costs. He shoots.

You can only have one Captain on a ship. Ever heard of "Mutiny on the
Bounty?" You arm some idiot in the back, who has very limited
knowledge of aviation, and let him think he is charge, you have a
recipe for disaster. (in the past they've fallen asleep, left their
guns in the lavatory, shot other officers by accident, and gotten
drunk on duty. They have a boring job and they have to be accountable
to the PIC.

So don't let the sky marshal think he's in charge of the flight.

The Brit pilot's union is correct. They don't want our
dysfunctional skymarshal program on board.

Foriegn carriers that do not wish to comply with US security measures are
free to discontinue service to the US.

Some loon on board a plane with a gun may succeed in defending the plane

but
he may not.

And if the "loon", aka sky marshal, fails in defending the plane they are no
worse off than they would be if the "loon" had never been aboard.

either the sky marshal failed so we have to shoot it down or
they sky marshal must have cause the plane to come down by his actions in
frustrating the terrorists.

The result is the same 200 plus people dead but the politicians are clean.

Or the sky marshal succeeds in defending the airplane and 200 people that
otherwise would have been killed are still alive.

And if it's just a problem with the union, I'm sure we can find plenty of American
pilots to man those planes.
