Yes, there used to be a Publications Center in Philadelphia, up on Robbins
Avenue, next to, or part of, ASO. My dad used to be stationed at ASO, and I
lived across the river from Philly for a number of years.

NAESU and NATSF were combined into NATEC in 1993, concurent with the move
to NORIS.

As for doing digital archives, (my favorite 'Net Q) who's going to pay for
it?

Worst case, try National Archives. There IS a Federal law that
anything printed by the federal government be archived. Actually, you
should be able to get a printed copy of anything the government
printed, but good luck on getting that enforced. A lot of historians
and librarians have been complaining about the going digital bit,
paper is eternal, electronic systems, well, anybody got an 8 inch
floppy drive? Thought so...same with 9 track tapes.

I've contacted the National Archives about the manuals. Hopefully they'll be about to assist me.
