Jet-fuel powered but with a large propeller at the back. Could be a Diesel engine driving it. I'm sure there are pistons and gear reductions involved..
Impressive performance, shows you on how little power a clean airframe can sustain altitude.

It's hard to get impressed by a 56 hour unmanned flight when 30 years ago Voyager carried two people and everything needed to make them happy for 9 days; plus they didn't just hang out -- they went somewhere.

Lange Aviation is producing fuel cell powered UAVs. The H2 has been in service for a few years and the H3 is currently in production and will have a range of over 5000 km and 40 hours.
