Free Speech and Telemarketers
Did you see the Aug 31 Dave Barry column? If you've ever had strong
feelings about the people who call you during dinner, you may wish to let them know directly how you feel. The call is free to you (it's about 25 cents to them), but they indicated on their website they want to hear from you, so please call them and leave a message. If everyone in the US called, they would get an ear full. They have a toll free number you can call and leave a message. Tell them about your feelings or your relationship with your last telemarketer. American Teleservices Association Legislative Office: 1666 K Street, NW, Suite 1200 Washington, DC 20006 Toll Free: (866) 500-4272 Anon_Redirect_xxxxx Note address is a dead email box. Did you ever stop to think that there is really little difference between an off-topic post to a newsgroup and an unwanted phone call? Vaughn |
