Default Matterhorn white aerosol spray can

I'm replacing an inspection cover on my plane, the plane is painted
with U.S Paint Awlgrip Matterhorn White. I have a small touch-up
bottle of matterhorn white, but the inspection cover is too big to
brush it and it would look bad.

Does anyone know if matterhorn white or something very similar is
available in an aerosol spray can? Maybe Krylon or Rustoleum has a
similar color?

I don't know if that paint is available in spray cans, but you might
consider buying a refillable can (that you pressurize with compressed
air). Harbor Freight Tools has them, and I believe that Aircraft
Spruce does as well.

You need a Preval. http://www.prevalspraygun.com/ Available at many paint
stores, particularly automotive paint stores.

If you look hard enough, you will find the paint store that all your
local car dealers use. Once you've found them, it's an easy task to
take them a sample of the paint (or, if you know them, the paint
numbers -- every color has an assigned series of numbers) and have
them make you up a little spray can of it.

Here in Iowa City that'll cost about twelve bucks.

I have used the auto paint store route. If you want the best match you'll
need to get the 'expert eye guy' at the store to adjust the spectrometer
derived mix a bit since the spectrometer mix is often noticeably off. Also,
I have had very good luck putting the above mixed paint into a Preval spray
unit (probably 5 bucks or less at the auto paint store.)

Not all Matterhorn white is the same. Time and aging will obviously change
the color. The best way to get a match would be to go to an auto body shop
or supplier who can put your part under a spectrophotometer and get an
exact match.

On the other hand, if you want to come close, it shouldn't make too much
difference just from a rattle can.
