JetCat P-180
hi, does anyone have more detailed information about the JetCat P-180
miniature gas turbine engine? were trying to design a stealth UAV, and we cant find some critical information-the jetcat websites not very specific, and we need to know stuff like mass flow rate and exhaust velocity. also any information about noise levels would be great cheers |

Rich S. Just google it. There is a website for JetCat. The largest engine makes 47 or so lbs of thrust. Two of them would be perfect for a self launching glider. 4 of them slung under the wings of a Blanik like a 707 would be way cool. John K |

IF they had a decent hours before overhaul, which is a big if, indeed, you would be only a novelty. Those small engines go through fuel so fast, that the plane would need to be as big as a 707 to carry enough fuel to really go somewhere!!! Well, not really, but you get the idea. -- Jim in NC |
