Possible new training glider...

I have hundreds of hours in the Krosno /Peregrine, as a student pilot,
private pilot, Commercial rides pilot, and finally CFIG. It's
absolutely a solid flying machine, and I wish I had access to one today.
On the down side, it's not a great choice for cross country and it
doesn't slip together quickly like a glass ship.

That said, it's a metal ship with finish so nice it looks like glass
from more than a wingspan away. Since it's metal, you can tie it out
near the the flight line all day without worry. No hanger? No worry.
Tie it out like you did your L13 and it will be fine.

It's almost the perfect basic trainer, it flies with no nasty surprises.
Even with terrible mistreatment, I've never had an inadvertent spin,
never heard of anyone else having one. Yet it can be forced into a very
convincing spin for training purposes.

Mechanically, the ships are highly reliable. Over the years, and
thousands of hours of flight experience, the Barry's have addressed the
few problem areas discovered in the original Polish design.
