If your air hose is big enough to support your flow rate, just use some PVC
pipe to make a neat conduit for it. It will pretty things up, if properly
installed it will get rid of your low spots, and it will be perfectly safe.

One benefit of copper is it becomes a natural cooling coil to help get
rid of moisture. We have 100 ft in an array across top of shop ceiling
and drip leg for condensate.
No water in our air.
PVC has proven over time to be a time bomb unless at pretty low
pressures.
