I have one, but you probably won't be interested. It's calibrated in
feet, but each revolution of the dial is 3,000'.

"but each revolution of the dial is 3,000"

That's an altimeter for an optimist.

It was amazing how quickly I got used to it, but it is odd and only the
adventurous should try it.

Tim,

Watch eBay:

_odkw=altimeter&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p20455 73.m570
..l1313.TR3.TRC2.A0.H0.Xaircraft+altimeter.TRS0&_n kw=aircraft+alt
imeter&_sacat=0

If it is for a "new" Twin Astir from Germany, the handbook specifies
one that is TSO-C10 and 35,000' compliant. Put something else in
there, and the Feds may refuse it on the certification checks.
Something else is not legal, and could lead to insurance rejection of
a claim in case of a later accident...

They will pop up for between $100 and $250 depending on age and
condition. You can always pick up a cheap non functional one to
use as a trade in core if buying an overhauled one should you want
t go that route.
