I think I'm going to subscribe to a Soaring weather forecast service.
Which ones are great and easy to use without alot of prior knowledge?
Skysight?

I prefer SkySight to XC Skies of Top Meteo.
Top Meteo isn't as easily readable as the others. A sea of numbers with rivers as the background map?
SkySight is owned by a true enthusiast. Responsive to user suggestions.
The other... In my experience has VERY poor response to customers.

We (SkySight) have a free trial, so I encourage you to give it a try and see what you think.
If you get stuck there's a tutorial video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RIN0086LzY

Thanks for an example of response time.

Hi Matthew,
Do you have any plans for adding Western Canada (BC and Alberta) to the regions your forecasts cover?
Thanks,

We cover most of Alberta already, if there is a high enough density of pilots in BC to support forecasting operations there, we will extend to it.

There are around 40 pilots in BC, out of which around 10 may be interested in subscribing (my guess).

Regarding which is better -

Why not both? That's what I'm doing. I like them both and the additional cost is about 2 tows a year.

I haven't found any trend where one is consistently better than the other and I do like the different options between the two.

I find they can be somewhat different 3 days out but tend to converge closer in to the day of flight.

Kudos to Matthew for being very responsive 100% of the time!

The best is FCST24, especially for mountains and wave flying.
Second SkySight if you don't have FCST24 or Top Meteo if you have it.

it's good to use 2 different models sources to compare certainty of the forecast. SkySight and FCST24 I think they have the same weather data source.
