Default SC Nationals Day 8 Report

Well, we finally had a good day - maybe 3/4 of a full Parowan day -
great lift, but very few clouds. Apparently the temps got a few
degrees higher today, and the winds were fairly light out of the
south. The task advisors knew we didn't want to go very far south,
and we *definitely* did not want to go back over the desert with no
clouds, so they tasked us to the east. Reports were of achieved
bottom-to-top climb rates in the 6-8kt range, topping out well above
18,000'. Very few landouts, and most pilots had a pretty good time.

Tomorrow is the last day, and there is a very tight race for 2 & 3rd
overall, but Ray Gimmey seems to have the 1st place position locked
up. It would be very nice to end the contest with a 'full Monty'
Parowan day, but we'll take whatever comes.

Frank,

Look at it this way... you could be back home sitting in the mud stuck
on Day 4. By that standard, you're in pretty darn good shape.
