Default Gliding Flight Simulator

I have been cruising around cyber-space looking for
an accurate flight sim while the outside tempurature
hovers around -20 degrees C. I am a licenced glider
pilot so I am particular. I have currently found three
possible software packages:

1. Microsoft FS 2004
2. x-plane v7
3. SFS v 4 (soaring flight sim)

I am interested in realistic tow plane flight as well
as thermals and realistic handling of a Schweizer 2-33A.

Of the three software packages (or any others not listed)
which offer:

1. Realistic tow-pakne take-off
2. Realistic tow rope release
3. Boxing the tow-plane
4. Rope-break
5. Tow plane upset.
5. Realistic spiral / insipiant Spin
6. Downdrafts / Thermals
7. realistic spoiler effects.

Thank you in advance,

Martin

I haven't used SFS for some time, but as I recall, there is an airfield
that you can select as your start point where the launch is aerotow
(most of them are winch).

There are some 3rd-party add-on gliders and motorgliders available for
Microsoft Flt Sim - and there is a website with downloadable thermal
scenery, but sorry, I don't have that link info handy...

I vote for X-Plane. The flight dymanics engine is very realistic.

2-33? Even a REAL 2-33 doesn't handle realistically.

MS Flight Sim is good for generating pretty screen shots, not much
else.

SFS at lease makes an effort at realistic flight dynamics.

The best I've found is to use MS Flight Sim 2004 and download this
cross country "thermal" program (got to keep current on these long
nights):

http://x-c.home.att.net/

Be sure to follow the installation instructions and adjust the weather
and time of year for good soaring conditions. You can also adjust the
strength and max altitude of thermals.

Then download some great ships here (I've been flying an ASH25 through
the rockies):
