Default Glowdeo

Glowdeo is the night illumination of balloons, where
they are inflated just show them lit from the inside. They
do not take off, it is just a sort of light show.

These are remarkably hard pictures to take - first of
all there is the problem of large contrast between light
and dark that makes exposure settings chancy. Then there
is the problem of timing. The announcer does a little
countdown, everyone fires their burners for a few seconds,
then all is darkness again. You have to catch the shot
quickly or it is lost. And none of it happens if there is
any sort of breeze. Still, it is all rather magical if
there are enough balloonists participating.

Pt one of four.........
