Probably because they were reindeer, not moose.

My bad. After watching the pilot clip the tree on landing, and then
again on (attempted) takeoff, I forgot what the hunters were shooting.

I gotta wonder, who would get on a plane that just lost part of the wing
on landing?

Its a Maul... What'd you expect? It mauls the trees and sometimes the
trees maul it back...

The reindeer won that one. Those guys need to stay home and play their
xBox or something. Give the taxpayers a break.

What a bonehead pilot (unless he/she is on RAP of course). What a poor
excuse for a Maule driver (I use the term advisedly). Hit trees coming
and going, left and right. It's not like the Maule has a finely tapered
elliptical tip that's hard to see. It's just a g-damn plank! And they
are the same size on both sides!

Hell, I've done dumb s--- but at least do it away from the cameras and
only be a bonehead once a day. Jeez!

Great clip.

Yeah. Imagine being the hunters seeing "Dee Plane" coming in for a
landing and then clipping the tree. What must have been going thru their
heads, if anything?

After that, they must have loaded the dead reindeer on the Maule (thanx
for pointing out the make) with the damaged wing. I'm wondering about the
whole weight and balance thing: The one hunter they showed (walking
stiffly before the plane strikes a tree the FIRST time) looks like a
pretty big guy. Add in their gear, the reindeer carcass, etc. Then add a
damaged wing and a snowy field to the equation. I think it adds up to one
dumb-ass pilot.

I'm gonna try to find the NTSB report on that one. Since no one was
injured or killed, I think it will be amusing.

I'm voting for insurance fraud.
