Really......it is not a Motor Glider, Needs a "4th" launching
method. .......And what a "Tug" it is!

Interestingly, SpaceShip 1 actually is registered with
the FAA as as motorglider (I assume SS 2 will be as
well). For Melville/Binnie to legally complete the
X-flights, they had to get commercial motorglider endorsements
(trained at Tehachapi and Minden) since the object
was to carry 2 passengers (sandbags in this case )into
space and repeat.
