Only the ones registered this year, I think. Both fortunately and
unfortunately for Piper, there are not all that many of them.

All the best,

Ouch. So do they also give all these people airplanes to fly while
their brand new ones are grounded? Do they give them their money
back?

First, they're trying to figure out exactly what's affected. If it's a
simple fix, they'll probably be OK just sending out an SB and paying for
replacement parts and labour; if it's major, it could be the end of the New
Piper, because I doubt they're liquid enough to deal with this kind of
thing, or even to stay in business long enough to sue the steel supplier.

Scary thing is that this shipment of steel may have been used by (according
the full story) "other" aircraft manufacturers.

This AD could spread to other makes.
