I only fly a regional jet, but I can't help but notice all the bugs on the leading edge of our jets. Often wondered how much an impact it makes. They do, however, allow us to write that up and call the mechanics out, they have a way to determine how much is too much(square inch saturation, I believe), and they will clean the leading edges.
