Default Cathay Pacific Airways Cargo Boeing 747-467F B-HUK

Nice pics, Bob, but the copyright date seems a bit out of time. It's
cool to look at these. Some of the businesses in the background are
still there, but you can't see them because they built buildings in
front of 'em. Compare this pic, which is approximately the same view
with your Pan Am shot. What a difference. What year were yours shot?

They do seem to like to build new stuff.

Those were all taken one fine afternoon in March 1977 (the © dates
were when I scanned and published). I was on my way from Seattle to
Tucson to attend the Davis-Monthan AFB open house and tour MASDC.
Purposely got a non-direct flight with a long stopover at LAX. Nothing
like shooting well over 100 rolls of slide film in three days.

I remember the pilot bouncing off the smog layer as we descended.
Thought we were gonna have to get out the shovels to dig our way down.
