Nope, he's deader than a wedge.

Not
a
Chance

I'd sooner imagine that Bob Hoover or Rutan did. THEY might need the
publicity boost; why would Fossett, when he can call a press conference?

Given he's reported to have been wearing a 400Mhz EPIRB/PLB watch; I'd
say he is likely incapacited or dead.

Unless, of course, L Ron Hubbard's aliens kidnapped him....

Very, very cool. I have a no-code tech license
and everything, gps, handheld and tnc just laying
around. This will go up high on my priority list.

By the way, it's a no-code everything license now if you
haven't heard. The completely inane and anachronistic
for nearly 50 years requirement to master manual digital
transmission was finally done away with for all license
levels last February.

N1RN (who had to master 20WPM the hard way) applauds the
change.

I'd heard he was wearing an ELT-capable watch but didn't know it was of
the 400Mhz variety.

I just looked at http://www.breitling.com/en/ and all the watches with ELT I
could find were marked 121.5Mhz.
