This is a load of US Government Crap of the highest order. Maybe the
FAA forgot that they pulled the EIC's medical for being nuts.

Aero-NewsBug

Aero-NewsBug brings a continuously updated preview of top aviation
news from Aero-News, and a listing of FAASTeam safety seminars, to a
small window on your desktop. Clicking on any of the items takes you
to the full details on the web. You'll have fast direct access to
award winning aviation articles created by the editors of Aero-News,
and always be aware of FAASTeam seminars within 100 miles of your zip
code.

Aero-NewsBug is EASY TO INSTALL AND USE; just plug and play by
following these simple steps!

1. Watch: Turn up your speaker volume and watch the 4 minute
introduction video via http://newsbug.afasf.org/; scroll down to the
middle of the page, and click on the 'Introducing the NewsBug'
graphic.

2. Register: After you've watched the video, register for Aero-NewsBug
via http://newsbug.afasf.org/. Locate the 'Login' box in the lower
left corner of the screen, and click 'Register!'. The registration
page will open; complete all fields, (make note of the username and
password you enter), and click 'Register'.

3. Confirm registration: A confirmation message will be sent to your e-
mail address, (please check your junk/spam folder, just in case the
confirmation e-mail is placed there, instead of your inbox). The
message will contain a link that, when clicked, will direct you back
to a 'Welcome back' page on the site, so you can login and confirm
your registration. Enter your username and password in the 'Login' box
displayed on the page, and click 'Go'. The 'download' page will be
displayed next.

4. Download: On the download page, click the 'Click here to download
the NewsBug installation file' link, to begin the download process,
(you must remember where the file is located and its name so you can
find the program later for installation). Download of the installation
files must be completed before Aero-NewsBug can be installed on your
desktop. FYI, if you need further instructions concerning the download

5. Install: Locate the installation file, and left-click twice on the
file to begin the installation process. Once the installation is
completed, the Aero-NewsBug will open in the lower-right corner of
your screen, and a small 'W' icon will be displayed in the toolbar
located in the lower-right corner of your screen. FYI, if you need

Options available after installation:

Hide Aero-NewsBug: If you wish to 'hide' Aero-NewsBug, so that it is
not displayed on your desktop, click 'Hide' in the lower-right corner
of the Aero-NewsBug window. 'Hide' closes Aero-NewsBug, so you cannot
see it again, until you click the 'W' icon in the in the toolbar
located in the lower-right corner of your screen.

Exit Aero-NewsBug: If you wish to close the Aero-NewsBug program, so
it does not check for updates, and is not displayed in the lower-right
corner of your screen, click 'Exit' in the lower-right corner of the
Aero-NewsBug window. To start Aero-NewsBug again, you must 1) click
the icon on the desktop or, 2) use your computer's 'Start' button,
located in the lower-left corner of your screen, to display the
Program list, and left click once on the 'AFASFNewsBug' icon, to
reactivate the Aero-NewsBug on your desktop and toolbar.

Uninstall Aero-NewsBug: If you wish to remove the Aero-NewsBug
application from your computer, an uninstall feature is accessible via
your computer's 'Start' menu. You can uninstall Aero-NewsBug by
clicking on the 'Start' button, located in the lower left corner of
your screen, selecting 'All Programs', and clicking on the
'AFASFNewsBug' folder in the Program list. Once you've clicked the
'AFASFNewsBug' folder, an 'Uninstall' option will be displayed; click
this option to begin the uninstall process.
