Default welding rod

A while back I posted that after trying E70S-6 filler rod for TIG
welding 4130 steel, that I preferred using S-2 although the S-6 worked
fine. I had more parts to weld tonight, and at Bruce Frank's suggestion,
I first sanded the copper coating off the rod and then wiped it with
acetone. It made a bigger difference than I expected it to, and it
looks like the S-6 will now be my preferred filler rod. I had
previously tried the same cleaning technique with the S-2 and it didn't
seem to make much difference.

In case anybody is interested.
