Just wondering...
Is it common to fly from North America to Europe in a small (Cessna to
smaller) type aircraft? I saw a show on discovery about people taking ultralights around the world! Just wondering if anyone here has done it or knows if it is a good idea? Any help would be wonderful, thanks. -- Fritz |

Depends on what you consider common, I guess. I know a stockbroker who flies
his Cessna 182 to Europe every year or so. At the Oshkosh fly-in, there are usually half a dozen small aircraft that have flown in from Europe. Common? Absolutely not.
Doable? Definitely - lots of people do it every year. It's a good idea as long as you don't have to ditch in the North Atlantic.
I've heard about people doing it with Cherokees and Cessnas, with the rear seat replaced by an extra fuel tank. "tony roberts" wrote in message news:nospam-6EF7E5.21545517062005@shawnews... Common?
