"RustY Š" wrote in message news What scheme is that Bruce ? Blue/black airframe, Union jack stripes painted along the fuse, St Andrews cross on the empenage. This is the best view I have of it, but the model people always *******ize the markings and I wanted to see where it departed from the original design. I have an F-4 ducted fan that has both Navy and Army markings on it. Anyhow here's a link to show you what scheme I was talking about. http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/De...ProdID=EFL8025 Bruce |

Of course, you're right, it is the Jack. The Cross is part of it, of course. We have part of it as well. Yeah we got the cross in the Fla state flag. The Great Seal of Florida on the center where the bars cross. When you hang the flag (which is a solid white background field) up by one end, it looks like a pair of suspenders (bg). Bruce |

The link you supplied goes to a Hawk scheme that I don't remember flying. The RAF training hawks started to be painted with the blue tops in the mid-eighties and were mostly repainted black by the mid-nineties. I wonder if this is a piece of modellers license? Anyway you mentioned a black airframe so how about this one that was an official display jet a few years ago. |
