Larry Goddard may or may not be able to shoot the Sandhill
crane where he lives in Gawja,
home of my alma mater.

GO DAWGS,

but if he goes to Alaska, he may shoot the Sandhill
Crane indeed.

It is listed as Alaska's Principal Game Bird by Alaska's
Fish and Wildlife Department.

I cannot imagine shooting such a beautiful soaring
creature.

Lawdy, if only I could cover such territory in gliding
as the Sandhill Cranes do. Some of the Greater Sandhill
Cranes going to Eastern Siberia.

We have so much to learn and we never will,
I know.

To wit, see
