The need for original documents, N-reg aircraft?
"Peter" wrote in message ... "Chris" wrote Finally the most important document of all is the VAT paid freedom to circulate certificate. Without this, the French will try and impose VAT on the plane and stop you flying it away until paid. Yes, but I wasn't going to mention that one in a mostly American newsgroup The certificate of free circulation is the one document which I do carry in original, very carefully protected, on the advice of an experienced Customs man. Specially for the French I fly an N reg and we have a wallet in the plane with all the documents needed. For Germany you might also need a noise certificate but that depends on the age of the plane. Might. Not sure about that one, for a casual visit. They might just charge higher landing fees. I did pay extra in Switzerland. That is the option, a higher landing fee |
