Couple days after the strike I spoke with an ex-Navy Fighter pilot who knows
me and my limited flying capabilities (in comparison to his) very well. I
asked him if he thought I could do what the terrorists did.

He said absolutely and that in fact I would do it better. He pointed out
that the second pilot was flying pure pursuit on the building as evidenced
by the strong bank at impact. This meant, he said, he was not taking into
account wind effects, and that he knew I would as a matter of course:

The second pilot had the smoke from the first hit as a perfect wind
indicator but failed to use it. He almost missed.
