Default Twin Acro inflight failure

(The short news article is in Italian language only.)

A few days ago, a Twin Acro III has lost a wing during aerobatic
training. Both pilots have safely come to land with their parachutes.
The accident happened at about 1200m (3600ft), over the airfield of
"Torre Alfina" in the province of Viterbo (central Italy).
The wreckage is now under examination by the civil aviation authority
and the safety agency.

The pilots have declared that the flight envelope has been carefully
respected.

the flight envelope could have been carefully respected by these lucky (or
unlucky) pilots... but not by those who may have flown it previously, and
did not report an over G condition?

Some background information to all who didn't already know:

If the stringers were installed, G-103 owners might have a problem
again...
