US 2007 Sports Class Nationals at Caesar Creek - IMPORTANT UPDATE

The 2007 Sports Class Nationals are being held at the Caesar Creek Soaring
Club 12-21 June 2007. (Official Practice Days will be 10-11 June 2007)

Our Competition Director will be Andy McQuigg, Ray Galloway will be helping
us out with weather forecasting. (This is an update from the initial
announcement, which named Charlie Spratt as CD.) Welcome Andy! (We'll miss
you, Charlie.)

Due to the size of our field, THIS CONTEST IS CURRENTLY LIMITED TO 50
ENTRANTS.

We currently have 28 applications.

THE PREFERENTIAL ENTRY DEADLINE IS 13 APRIL 2007.

Those intending to apply for this event are encouraged to do so soon.

The Contest Fee will be $685. In addition to ten contest tows, this fee
will include daily admission to the Andy and Ray Comedy Hour.

Pilots wishing to register may do so via the Soaring Society of America or
they may register directly using the 2007 Sports Class Nationals website:
www.2007SportsClassNats.org

The site also contains general information about the contest, including the
status of current applicants and the roster of contest personnel. This site
is updated regularly and will continue to be updated until the end of the
contest.

We are planning for several dinner events in addition to the flying, count
on 6 planned dinner events. Our clubhouse kitchen and our patio and barbeque
facilities will be available every night when there is not a planned dinner.
More information on dinner events will be posted on the contest website
soon.

Campers are welcome at Caesar Creek, but spaces for large motorhomes and
electrical hookups are limited.
