According to the Web site:

Shot in Northern Quebec, Canada

Obviously another avian terrorist like those "Canadian Geese" that
brought down that Airbus A320. This one is is probably a card-carrying
member of Owl Qaida.

Owl Qaida..... too funny!! But get it right.... one Canada goose, 2
Canada geese.... and there is no way to prove its birthplace so you
can't call them Canadian, eh?? Since they are a nice blend of black
and white and all shades in between they may just be American.

BTW, some knee jerk reactors out there called for jet intake screens
for such avian collisions.... forgetting the obvious force of a 30
pound bird at 500 knots... but today on the Military channel I saw an
early Luftwaffe jet with just such screens. I bet it did not take long
for them to figure out what a bad idea that was.

Keep 'em coming!

Bob

Absolutely, hence the quote marks around "Canadian Geese."

We had a pair of Canada geese at our house when I was growing up. They
were fiercely territorial and made great watch animals. The one we
called Warpaint once grabbed onto an unruly stray dog with his beak
and proceeded to beat the living crap out of it with the knobs at the
elbows of his wings. It was a sight, and that dog gave our house a
wide berth ever after.

Yeah, I heard that on an NPR show a few days after the incident.
Amtrak is ready when they are.

Thanks, Bob K.
