Default Paint for white fiberglass trailer top

I refinished a Komet trailer 3 yrs ago with Boat paint . Self leveled
and didn't see any roller marks afterwards. Came out great, UV
protection as well although about $50.00 a Qt. I sanded first with an
orbital sander 150 and used 5 coats .
Very good coverage for a qt.
Also afterwards I used a white roofing silicone along the galvanized
base .

What's a Qt if I may ask? Or is that in liters? (I'm from EU)

I used Lesonal 540 2K primer. Great stuff, not cheap but the base coating is really good.
Available in Europe, from AKZO I believe.
Next step is to finish the final layer in gloss white.

Is it the 2K filler 540 white? I found this on a Dutch website, pricing seems about the same (€ 75 for 3 liters) as others for 0.75-1 liter.

What would you finish it with and how many layers of the 2K primer would you use?

Lesonal 540 2k primer/filler is white with a yellowish tint, but not grey and not flashing white.
When you finish with a topcoat glossy white you will not see this.
I applied with a roller and did one coating, a bit thick. You can also do two coatings but more thin.

I painted my trailer with HC-2500 Amerflint II polyurethane from Tamco paint. It's been in sun and snow year around for 3 years and still looks like it did the day I painted it. It's excellent...I'm painting my glider with it this month.

https://tamcopaint.com/products/dura...30875014496336 . You have to wear a passive carbon filter mask that traps organics while spraying, but it's no big deal.

Excellent customer service, too.

For primer I used https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Ole...0502/100126115 . I thinned it with urethane thinner and it worked great. Very tough stuff. (On my glider I'll use a urethane 2K primer, but this is perfect for the trailer).

The HC-2500 Amerflint II polyurethane is 2K. You mix in the hardener. It's called "Single stage" which means its gloss comes with a single application (no clearcoat needed).

I got an older Anschau Komet trailer that needs some care and decided to repaint the entire top side, which is white painted fiberglass. What paint would you recommend for doing this? I'd like it to be a bit glossy and waterproof, as the trailer will stay outside in summer but hangared in winter. Thanks!

I just re-did my PIK-20 trailer by shooting a leveling coat of fiberglass boat "Topside" primer (from lowes), and then using rustoleum professional white gloss as a spray top coat. It was super cheap, and seems to have made a pretty nice and even covering. Not something you would see coming out of a professional shop, but i also didn't bother to block sand it or any of that.
