I don't think the FAA has those.
Interesting exercise

Right, the FAA doesn't have any ownership based on contest numbers. However, it's relatively quick to get reasonable numbers off the FAA database if you search by model. For example I came up with ship numbers for three models in just a couple minutes:
SGS 1-26 407
ASW27 136
LAK17 29

These under-report the numbers assimilated by SSA contest numbers, do not include de-registered ones and do not cover Canadian/Mexican aircraft. You can part them out by specific subtypes (Discus2, Discus2a, etc.) and they are grouped by state with sums for each. As always use caution with the FAA data as they sometimes upload inaccurate info (engine/no-engine, etc.).

It’s still great and interesting to see the venerable old 1-26 still holds the top spot here. I am pretty sure they still also hold the top spot for the model ship producing the most number of badges. In addition we are close to having 50 pilots who have achieved all three diamond legs in a 1-26. Now there is pursuit that takes dedication and diligence.

I glanced over the list (me or others may make a few updates...)...glad to see a ship I co-own is top of the list!

Great work on the list....wondering if some 1-26 gaps are due to totals....:-(.....

Thanks for the work John.....

This list generated from contest data.
Missing ships did no fly a contest in the period John looked at.

Has anyone created similar data from the OLC files?
