I recall George Braly saying that they had done ground tests, using a
Chadwick-Helmuth vibration analyzer, with and without GAMIs - showing
less vibration at lean mixtures with the GAMIs, several years ago.
This is consistent with the wisdom that running lean of peak in an
unbalanced engine, the cylinders are putting out different amounts of
power - because in this regime the cylinder powers are directly
proportional to the (unequal) cylinder fuel flows.

Not a word about misfiring cylinders. Nor how fuel injections are
"calibrated".

And running rich to reduce vibration (I notice they did not do a dynamic
machine test for vibration), again, puts your engine in the worst possible
condition for fouling, internal pressure, valve damage...

Lycoming FI's are pretty close, but still have a hell of a lot of "slop".

Quite.

One thing many people miss about LOP is it not only reduced fuel usage
(around 20%) but how much better the combustion event treats the engine
components.
