Splitting Costs of Flying a Club Demo Ride?
Thanks everyone for the good info and ideas right now. Of course we need to follow our insurance plan. I didn't have access to it when this idea came up. Yes, our club goes through Costello. I had a great conversation with them today and they said that as long as the person getting the ride doesn't touch the controls or no money flows through the club but goes straight to the 3rd party tow pilot, they have no issues with a non-commercial club member flying with something else who wants to experience gliding. Interesting!
The goal here is to grow the club. Right now we have 70 members and 4 twin gliders. We would love to see 200 members and 10 gliders! The reality is the age demographic of our club is getting up there and many members are starting to have health problems that keep them from flying. We need to refresh the membership with other old pilots that are EAA members...wait a second. Bruno - B4 |
