Alas, Braniff has gone the way of his namesake; Trillian is my current
boss:

Like that American Airlines 747. Reminds me of that Airport Movie.

That reminds me. I few months back I went to an estate sale and picked up a
book called "The Dark Island". The story is about highjackers who highjack
a 747 filled with artwork and other treasure by putting all the passengers
to sleep with a sleeping gas. Sound familiar? This book predates the
Airport movie by several years. That is the information from the inside
cover. Have not had a chance to read the book yet.

I caught the 1957 movie "Zero Hour!" on the tube a few weeks back. If
you've ever seen the comedy "Airplane!", this is the film they
parodied. I hadn't seen "Zero Hour!" before, and was rolling on the
floor all the way through.

Named after the Hitchhiker Guide Character? BTW my stealth black cat is
"Lenny" after Lenny Kravits. He is cool, mostly black, with just a little
white.

That, and she makes the most charming trilling sounds when she reminds
me I have been lax in my job as her head of staff in charge of keeping
the food bowl full.

Please give him a scrawnch for me.

OOOH. That's making me seasick. Maybe I should have straightened it
first. Oh well.

So... when you retire, will you be the Legend of Ex-LAX? (Sorry, had
a physical today; doc confirmed I am officially an olde pharte. As if
I hadn't noticed...)

It has been a few decades since I passed through LA.
